Detailed Party Budget Planner
Enter your own expected costs. The calculator totals them, adds only the contingency you choose, and shows the result per guest.
Why there is no forced category split
Some parties are free at home but spend heavily on food; others pay for a venue with catering included. A default 40% or 50% food allocation can be a scenario, but it is not a rule. This planner starts with your actual quotes and estimates.
Worked example
For the default entries, the six categories total £900. A 10% contingency produces £990 total, or £33 per guest for 30 guests, leaving £10 against a £1,000 limit.
Next step
Separate fixed and variable costs, check food quantities, or tighten the guest estimate.
How to read this estimate
The calculator separates your inputs from editable planning assumptions. Treat the result as a starting quantity, then adjust it for the real guest mix, product size, venue or serving style. See how our calculators work.
