Party Supplies Checklist
A useful supply list goes beyond matching plates and balloons. Think through the whole path from serving → eating/drinking → clearing → cleaning.
Tableware
Plates or bowls, cups/glasses, cutlery where needed, napkins and table coverings. Decide what is reusable before buying disposables.
Serving equipment
Platters, bowls, serving spoons/tongs, cake knife/server, bottle opener/corkscrew, jugs, ice container/tongs and labels for dietary information where useful.
Furniture and layout
Guest tables/chairs plus separate surfaces for buffet food, drinks, cake, gifts or activities. Check the real room before assuming every table fits.
Cleanup and practical extras
Rubbish/recycling bags, kitchen roll or cloths, spare containers for leftovers, cleaning supplies appropriate to the venue, and somewhere sensible for used tableware.
Before shopping
Check what the venue, caterer or household already provides. Then calculate the remaining quantities from confirmed guests and the service style.
