Pizza Party Calculator

Turn your guest list into a pizza order without assuming every adult, child or pizza is identical.

The formula

Total slices = adults × adult slices + children × child slices. Divide by the slices supplied by the pizza size you are ordering, then round up to a whole pizza.

Worked example

Fifteen adults at three slices and eight children at two slices gives 61 slices. With eight slices per pizza, that rounds up to eight pizzas.

Change the assumptions before ordering

Increase the slice allowance when pizza is the main meal or appetites are larger. Reduce it when there is substantial other food. Check the actual restaurant’s pizza size and slice count rather than relying on the default.

What about toppings?

Do not let variety inflate the total order. Calculate the total pizzas first, then split that number across familiar, vegetarian and dietary options based on your guests.

Next step

Plan drinks, plan cake servings, or check cost per guest.

How to read this estimate

The calculator separates your inputs from editable planning assumptions. Treat the result as a starting quantity, then adjust it for the real guest mix, product size, venue or serving style. See how our calculators work.
