Why density is editable
Current calculators use materially different densities depending on whether a garland is single-row, clustered, organic, mixed-size or very full. Balloon diameter also changes how many fit into a metre. Enter the density appropriate to the design you are following.
Measure the route, not just the wall
A garland draped around a doorway or curved over a backdrop can be longer than the straight-line width. Measure the intended path with string or a flexible tape where practical.
Keep spares visible
Extra balloons can cover pops, defects and gaps. A separate spare percentage makes that allowance obvious instead of hiding it inside the density.
