Non-Alcoholic Drinks Calculator
Plan water, soft drinks and other alcohol-free choices from the people actually attending—not from a fixed percentage of supposed “non-drinkers”.
What this calculator does differently
Alcohol-free drinks are not only for people who never drink alcohol. Water, mixers and soft drinks may be consumed by the whole party. Instead of forcing guests into a hidden percentage split, this tool lets you model adults and children directly and change the hourly volume.
The formula
Litres = (adults × adult hourly rate + children × child hourly rate) × hours × contingency.
Worked example
Twenty adults at 0.25L per hour plus ten children at 0.20L per hour equals 7L per hour. Over four hours that is 28L before contingency, or 30.8L with 10% added.
Do not buy 30 litres of one drink
The total is a volume target. Split it according to your guests: easy-access water first, then a sensible mix of still/fizzy soft drinks, juice, cordial or alcohol-free alternatives. Dietary needs and caffeine/sugar preferences can matter.
Next step
Calculate ice, plan the wider drinks requirement, or check cost per guest.
How to read this estimate
The calculator separates your inputs from editable planning assumptions. Treat the result as a starting quantity, then adjust it for the real guest mix, product size, venue or serving style. See how our calculators work.
